Jan. 24-29 Critical Skills Assessments, Full Days of School
Jan. 30 2nd semester starts
Rising 10th Grade Parent Night has been rescheduled for January 31, 2018 at 6pm in the KHS Auditorium.
Feb. 5 Report Cards
Feb. 16 and Feb. 19 full days of school
An Important Message
January 24, January 25, January 26, and January 29 will now become full school days for high school students. This will provide teachers with additional instructional time. Also, this additional time will be used as "makeup days" for the two days of school missed this week (4 half days = 2 full days).
All scheduled exams for high school courses have been cancelled and are being replaced with Critical Skill Assessments (CSAs). CSAs will count as one test grade and should be included in the grade book for the second quarter. These assessments have been designed to be administered during one block of instruction during the timeframe of January 24 through January 29 based upon a schedule developed by the school administrative team. The Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Department will still "0 weight" some items on these assessments, due to pacing concerns. If there is other content that has not been covered this semester due to inclement weather, please request and seek administrative approval at the school level for "0 weighting" additional items.
