PSAT Test Scores
On October 11, 2018, Hampton City Schools' students in the classes of 2021, 2022, and students in the class of 2020 who registered and paid, took the PSAT/NMSQT. This test gives students a chance to take the next step to college. If your child took the PSAT/NMSQT his or her score report is now accessible through the student's online College Board account.
Here is what teens can do to make the most out of their PSAT/NMSQT scores:
Here is what teens can do to make the most out of their PSAT/NMSQT scores:
- Log in to or create a College Board account online. PSAT/NMSQT scores are now available. Students should log in to their College Board account to see scores and test performance details.
- Get free, personalized SAT practice. The PSAT/NMSQT is great preparation for the SAT®. Your teen’s score unlocks a free, personalized practice through Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy®. Students go tosatpractice.org, create an account, and link their College Board and Khan Academy accounts for a plan based on their test results.
- Review AP course recommendations. Student score reports identify AP® courses that are the best match for them. AP can give your teen an edge in the admission process and earn them college credit while in high school, which saves time and money in college.
- Explore Careers. When students log in to see their scores, they can connect with Roadmap to Careers. They answer questions to find out which careers interest them, what degrees they’ll need, and what high school courses to take. They can watch video interviews with people in professions related to their interests.
- Get started on BigFuture. Students can begin their College Search using BigFuture™.
- Register for the SAT. Take the next step toward college by registering.
- Questions about how to use PSAT/NMSQT scores? Attached is a short presentation on how you and your child can use his/her PSAT/NMSQT score report to prepare for the SAT, increase scores on the SAT, and increase college readiness. School counselors will review your child's score report during the annual course selection conference. If you have questions regarding your child's scores or score report before that conference, please feel free to contact your child's school counselor.
