Chromebook 1:1 Information

New Students

  • Come to the library as soon as you can to get a Chromebook assigned to you.

Broken Chromebooks or Chargers

  • Please contact the Digital Help Desk (technical support hotline for technical issues, Chromebook questions, internet access) Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. HCS-ITHelp@hampton.k12.va.us or 757-850-6875 about any technical difficulties you may be experiencing with your ChromeBook.

  • You are completely covered by HCS insurance to have your chromebook replaced for normal wear and tear. Remember insurance doesn't cover damage due to negligence .

  • Note: We are not allowed to give students a "loaner" because they left their Chromebook at home.

  • Students are responsible for bringing their Chromebook to school every day charged and ready to use.

Lost Chromebooks

If your Chromebook is lost please report it in the library right away.

  • Look everywhere, every classroom, and at home. Ask your teachers just in case they have found it and locked it away.

  • If you can't find it after a few days of looking then we will issue a replacement

  • Report back to the library right away if it has been found.

  • You will be charged full cost of the Chromebook if it is lost or stolen.

Lost Charger

If your Chromebook charger is lost or stolen come to the library to get a replacement.

You will be charged $20.00.

Note: We are not allowed to give students a "loaner" if they have left their charger at home. Students are responsible for bringing their Chromebooks charged and ready to use EVERY day.
